Divorced Mature Women Top Online Dating Sites

The Associated Press reported yesterday that mature women make-up the major portion of online dating sites. And divorced mature women are online seeking men. In a study conducted by AARP, the Assocaited Press said that more and more divorced women over 40 are seeking men for dating and intimate encounters.

Younger men want an older woman, Joan Hackfield said. " I get lots of responses of younger men that want to date me. I'm 50 years old and men in their early thirties want me. These guys want long-term relationships, some want sex, and so do I. I think younger men have realized that a mature woman is better in bed and more fun on a date."

The article states that the two most popular sites for senior singles are Senior Friendfinder and Senior dating personals.

Bob Jeffers, a twenty something single man says that he joined a mature dating site because he is looking for a mature woman with experience. " I am a member of a senior dating site because mature women are hot and sexy. I'm seeking a senior women over 40 for a long term relationship, but to be honest, if a mature woman wanted sex only, I'm her man. Mature women turn me on and if it is a divorced mature woman I'm in heaven."

Mature Women Are In Demand in 2008

Getting older doesn't mean losing your desire for sex or your need for affection and intimacy. Mature women are in demand and many younger men are seeking mature women for intimate relationships.

In fact, sharing your life in a fulfilling intimate relationship, which often includes a healthy sexual relationship, can have positive effects on virtually every aspect of your life, from physical health to self-esteem.

As a mature woman, you might not be as comfortable with some sexual positions as you once were, but this does not mean you need to give up an activity that is pleasurable for you, and miss out on feeling close to your partner.

Make your senior years a time of sexual generosity and sharing. Expand your sexual play beyond intercourse.

Women Get Better With Age

Maybe you can't imagine it, but for millions of women who've reached "a certain age," sex just seems to get better with time. One of the joys of being a mature diva is having lived with yourself long enough to know who you are and what you want--and to have the heart to practice what you desire. What else can a truly mature diva do?

The erotic impulse has nothing to do with age. If you can breathe, you can feel sexy and be sexual.
For many women, once menstruation stops and they no longer have to worry about pregnancy, they feel free! Sex and sexuality take on a more global perspective--if you get my meaning.

In fact, my research and conversations with
mature divas in the know strongly, indicate that the years past age 50 can be a time for exploring the wonders of sex at deeper and more satisfying and confident levels than ever before. With sex, getting older means getting better--knowing what you enjoy, what you don't enjoy, knowing how to give pleasure, knowing bow to receive pleasure.

Of course our society doesn't exactly go out of the way to assure mature women of their wonderfulness. Too many hurtful myths and jokes ridicule the woman over 50 who dares see herself as sexually attractive. There are still too few looks, TV shows or films about the positive experiences of sexually active mature women.

I've often wondered how much of this negativity--in our male-dominated society--is based on male envy of our physical ability to continue to have sex well past menopause, because for men growing older often means impotence. But despite the negativity,
women over 50 continue telling one another stories--over the phone, at the Laundromat, at the office--about the joy of their continuing sexuality.

Prescription Drug Prices Worry Seniors

The typical American senior taking three prescription drugs paid $175.56 more for medications over the 12 months ending in September 2004 than over the previous year, according to the most recent figures available from AARP. Of the 197 most-used drugs by elderly patients, 161 went up in price during that time, making the chances very good that you're paying more for your treatments than you did in 2003.

If prescription drug affordability were measured in headlines, 2004 would have been a windfall year for American seniors. Congress fought over drug reimportation legislation. Consumer groups hammered away at drugmakers for high prices. President George W. Bush and Sen. John Kerry battled over whether Medicare should have the right to negotiate lower prices on behalf of seniors.

Of course, prescription drug prices are measured in dollars, not headlines. And for all the wrangling and debates coming out of Washington, the bottom line is that most seniors paid substantially more for drugs this year than they did in 2003.

Price hikes were not limited to seniors without private prescription drug coverage. More than half of 333 large companies raised premiums and co-payments for retirees with company-sponsored prescription drug plans in 2004, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey released in December. . .

Health Fraud and the Senior Woman

This year, the Commission has filed eight cases as part of Operation Cure. All, targeting companies that market a variety of devices, herbal products, and other dietary supplements to treat or cure cancer, arthritis, Alzheimer's, diabetes and many other diseases. Among the products for which marketers made unsubstantiated health benefit claims were a DHEA hormonal supplement, St. John's Wort, various multi-herbal supplements, colloidal silver, comfrey, and a variety of electrical therapy devices . . .

Given the number of companies marketing health products and our limited resources, we cannot investigate and prosecute every possible case. Factors that are considered in case selection include (1) the safety of the product or service, (2) whether the product or service is being marketed as a treatment or cure for a serious disease or health condition, (3) the egregiousness of the claims, (4) the scope of the marketing and sales, and (5) the extent to which bringing a particular case will serve the Commission's industry compliance and consumer education mission.

Senior Citizens and Reverse Mortgages

A reverse mortgage is a special type of home loan that lets a homeowner convert a portion of the equity in his or her home into cash. The equity built up over years of home mortgage payments can be paid to you. But unlike a traditional home equity loan or second mortgage, no repayment is required until the borrower(s) no longer use the home as their principal residence. HUD's reverse mortgage provides these benefits, and it is federally-insured as well.

Many financial institutions offer reverse mortgages, but you should check out HUD's Reverse Mortgage which is a federally-insured private loan, and it's a safe plan that can give older Americans greater financial security. Since your home is probably your largest single investment, it's smart to know more about reverse mortgages, and decide if one is right for you! . . .

Will Social Security Available For Today's Senior Citizens

Issues important to senior citizens have continued to achieve little public attention as the nation focuses on the war against terrorism and a weak economy but the public still strongly favors action on prescription drug coverage by Medicare and Social Security reform, according to a recent Gallup poll for CNN and USA Today.

Overall, Americans are supportive of
President Bush’s policy goals -- 73% believe they will move the country in the right direction and only 19% think they will move the United States in the wrong direction, according to the Jan. 25-27 CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll.

In general, strong majorities of the public favor Bush’s specific proposals, more so on his foreign policy objectives than his domestic policy objectives.

Gallup reports the following attitudes on senior issues. Give seniors a
Medicare system that includes coverage for prescription drugs.

Most Americans support the idea of expanding Medicare to include coverage of prescription drugs, but on this issue, they are far more likely to trust the Democratic Party than the Republican Party.

Seventy-three percent of Americans think it is important for the president and Congress to provide prescription drugs for older Americans.

By a margin of 56% to 32%, Americans are much more likely to think that the
Democratic Party would do a better job of dealing with the issue than the Republican Party [Jan. 11-14].

An April 2000
Gallup poll showed that a majority (57%) favored the expansion of Medicare coverage to provide prescription drugs as an additional entitlement for senior citizens in the program, while just 26% favored a business-incentive program that Bush has proposed in the past. Only 12% thought that no changes . . . read the full article

Younger Men Want Mature Women

Senior Dating Personals is the blog for senior singles, senior citizens and AARP members seeking senior dating, personals and information for seniors over 50.

I have several girlfriends dating men younger than they are; some by 5 years, 10 years and even 21 years age difference. To all you GWA (Great Women of America) who are doing this we say "You go girl"! and go straight to the altar if that is where he wants to take you.

Never mind all the old tapes playing in your head regarding all the (insignificant) reasons this won't work. It will work. It can work. And it works well. Men do it all the time. There is no difference. The women I know who are dating younger men range in age from early 30's to early 50's.

There's a reason men like women in their 40's and above. We're self-assured and financially secure. We have independent thought processes; we will let our man go play basketball till midnight if that's what he wants.

We understand the value of giving your space and freedom. We're not jealous and if you want to be with someone else we will not burn your stuff or throw in on the front lawn. We'll most often help you pack.If a man genuinely wants to be with you and age is the only issue then there IS no issue.
